You won’t be short of seeing historic landmarks either. You could find something from the past all over the city. Such as the Mission Inn which has housed many people since 1876. Kept beautifully intact all these years, it is certainly a romantic walk about location. Located right on the Santa Ana River, just off the 60 Freeway, you could find Mount Rubidoux which gives off a full 360 view of the inland empire as you head up the trail. A very popular spot for the outdoor type and for the giant cross and flag waving high, visible to public below. You could also have a peaceful day at the California Citrus Historic Park, which is a 377-acre park dedicated to conserving California’s citrus heritage, with guided tours to let you know all about the land. If you’d like to take a seat and watch that movie everyone is talking about, you could head over the multiple cinemas and the drive in, or to the Fox Performing Art Center if you are in the mood for a play or musical. If love to shop Riverside has the malls to cover you. The Galleria at Tyler has a range of stores that could keep you busy all day. From Aldo to Barns and Noble, you could easily find what you are looking for here.
Eats - When it comes to food Riverside has a very wide diverse pallet. Close to Riverside City College, you could head to downtown Riverside and find multiple shops and different restaurants to try out. If you are looking for a sweet, head to Casey’s Cupcake or if you’re more in the mood for a coffee with a muffin or non sugar based snacks you could find that at Back to the Grind. If Italian food is on the mind you could head to Mario’s Place which offers a nice patio seating with some late nigh jazz music. Located around the UCR campus, you could find even more food spots with an even more diverse option. Such as the Frice Szechuan Restaurant, this will have you full on dumplings and Chinese food. If you are more on the vegetarian side, you could go over to the local Pho shop, Pho Vinam Restaurant. Sandwiches and soups are also an option at the Sub Station if you would like a quick bite to eat or a more casual eat. If you are looking for restaurants that are more common, yet just as good, the Riverside Plaza will have you covered. There you could find Johnny’s Burgers, Blaze Pizza, Dickey’s Barbeque Pit, and even Panera Bread. If you’re feeling a bit more on the full-service type of restaurant it’ll have you covered as well with Ooka Japanese Restaurant. Riverside will definitely have you covered if you are in the mood for a good bite with its unusual to usual restaurants located all over the city.
